Well, so far our one year Anniversary has been exciting. Carrie barely slept last night and we had to be at the Doctor's office at 8:30. This was the high risk Doctor again. Dr. Jones is a man of few words. He measures the babies and basically tells Carrie not to eat salt. Anyhow, he measured the boys and they are growing. However, Triplet B is smaller than the other two. Triplet B is one of the identicals. Today they measured as follows:
Triplet A - 3 pounds 13 ounces
Triplet B - 2 pounds 14 ounces
Triplet C - 3 pounds 10 ounces
Why does this happen? Triplet B and C are our identicals. Triplet C is taking more blood and nutrients than Triplet B. That's normal and very common in multiple pregnancies. These numbers may seem alarming, but the weights listed above can be off by as much as 10 ounces. It is my very uneducated guess that Triplets A and C are around 3 and a half pounds, and Triplet B is around 3 pounds.
Anyhow, at the end of the exam, Dr. Jones checked Carrie's cervix. This time instead of just funneling but remaining closed, it was open and dialated. Once again, he sent us to the hospital in Temple. We loaded up in the car with the "Service Engine Soon" light back on and headed to the hospital in Temple where we are at this moment.
They hooked Carrie up to the contraction monitor and tried to find the heartbeats of all three boys which is proving to be very difficult. They are kicking and moving around like crazy. The Doctor made us feel much better when he told us that Triplet B is perfectly normal size for a triplet. He is just smaller than his brothers, but perfectly normal. Triplet B is a Rocker. He moves constantly and kicks hard. We were really worried about him, but we feel better now.
Carrie is dialated approximately one centimeter. Hopefully, her contractions will calm down. She has been having quite a few. At this moment we are waiting a while to see if things change. The fact is, no on has any idea. She could stay like this for weeks, which would be great. The one thing we do know, is that she will be right here until the boys are born. Bed rest has been moved to the hospital. It's not going to be much fun. As we said the last time, the cable TV really leaves a lot to be desired, and let's face it, it's just not home.
I will post updates here as often as things change. Right now, we are just hanging out. I brought my guitars this time, and I'm pretty much prepared for anything. Carrie is very tired from not sleeping much, so hopefully she can get some rest. Thank you all so much for thinking of us. This is not exactly how we planned to spend out One Year Wedding Anniversary, but it could be much worse. Our boys are healthy and still inside their mother.
More later............

Happy Anniversary!! All of you are in my prayers.
You and Carrie will be in our thoughts. Take care and don't annoy your wife too much. ;)
Not to worry my friend y'all got lots of friends praying for ya! This will give me another excuse to come to Texas again!
The Doctor was just in. He says that things are basically the same. Carrie's contractions have stopped for the moment. We asked him about the size of the boys. He says that two of the boys are WAY above average size. Triplet B is average size. That is for a singleton pregnancy. For triplets they are really big and doing great. They aren't going to do anything else at the moment besides continuing to monitor things. We could be here for quite a while. There is just no way to know.....
Keeping you all in my prayers... thanks for keeping us updated! lots of love, Nicci
